Bonjour Tout Le Monde (Hello Everyone)

Hello everyone! This will be my official blog as I live in Brussels, Belgium and travel throughout Europe during my study abroad for the next 5 months. I am very excited to embark on this journey and I look forward to sharing my experiences, both good and bad, with all of you.  

I will be staying with a single mother, Inès, and her daughter, Milena, in a town house in the south of Brussels, Watermael-Boitsfort. I will be attending classes at Vesalius College, studying both Communications and International Affairs. The college is about 20-30 minutes from the town house and another 10-20 minutes to the city center. C'est fantastique, non? 

I will be departing next Sunday (January 9th) in the evening and will be arriving early the next morning in Brussels (with the time change of about 6 hours--ahead of NY). 

I am currently preparing for my departure by brushing up on my French skills--the language that I will be communicating in with my host family. Other than that I'm all set to go and counting down the days...
